The Egyptian head of Tourist Facilities Chamber, Adel Omar, will have a meeting with head of Tourism Police, Abdel Raheem Hassan, on Wednesday to discuss the current security situation and its effects on tourism in Egypt. The discussion in the meeting will include how to secure Egypt's archeological areas in Cairo and other cities. Omar told Youm7 the meeting was held after the increasing demands of members of the chamber to increase security presence to protect the tourist facilities and its owners. Omar clarified discussions will extend and include to demands recently raised by the chamber to provide owners of tourist facilities with weapon licenses to defend themselves in case of chaos or criminals and thug. The tourism official will present a vision of his chamber to the future of the tourism sector in Egypt, raising the necessity of restoring the state security and stability to restore the tourism movement in Egypt. Omar believes public cooperation with the police institution is a necessity to ensure the stability and security of Egypt.
