Arabic: منير فخري عبد النور Born: August 21, 1945 Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour was appointed as Egypt's minister of tourism on February 22, 2011. Nour is a member of Egypt's Coptic Christian community, and one of the few Christians active in both business and politics in Egypt. Nour is an entrepreneur, a businessman, and a former Secretary General of al-Wafd Party before Egypt's January 25 Revolution. Abdel Nour is also a board member of the Center of Developing Countries Research and Studies and was formerly a board member of the Cairo and Alexandria stock exchange.
