CAIRO: Spanish authorities have not made their decision on whether to extradite Egyptian businessman Hussein Salem and his son and daughter to Egypt, according to Magdy el-Shafei, General Director of Egyptian Interpol. A Spanish judge has sent a letter to the Egyptian committee working to recover stolen money asking for information about the crimes that Salem committed in Egypt and the reasons Egypt has requested his extradition. The Spanish judge is responsible for consideration and investigation into Salem's case. In related news, Shafie said former Minister of Finance Youssef Boutros Ghali and former Minister of Trade and Industry Rashid Mohamed Rashid are still in London. However, there is unconfirmed information that the two fugitives are in Qatar. Meanwhile, the Egyptian Alliance in Europe called today for demonstration from 1:00 to 3:00 pm outside the headquarters of the Spanish Embassy in London to rapidly deport the symbols of corruption who stole public money.
