Ministry of Education coordinates with Interior to collect data about teacher strikes

The Egyptian Ministry of Education is collecting data about the teacher strike from three sources, the Ministries of Interior, Local Development and Educational directorates throughout Egypt's governorates, according to a principal source at the Ministry of Education.
The source didn't want to collect information from the institutions calling for teacher strikes but the Ministry of Education gathered the information from the three sources to maintain its accuracy.
The Ministry receives a daily report from the Ministry of Interior, including information concerning strikes, the source said. He added the Ministry of Interior only supports the Ministry of Education with information about strikes but doesn't take any action against the protestors.
A statement by the council of Ministers was released during its meeting yesterday, including the council of Ministers' consent to the demands of the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Financial about the modification of law of teachers no. 155/2007.
