CAIRO: Egyptian Central Security and military police forces held a security campaign to close cafes in Talat Harb Street and Bourse Street surrounding Tahrir Square last night. Fans watching the national Egyptian soccer teams Al-Ahly and Enby match in cafes opposed the campaign and asked security forces to end it. The youth fans clashed with security forces during the campaign in cafes. However, Central Security forces closed all cafes surrounding Tahrir. Hundreds of youth held a protest opposing the Emergency law as a response to the security campaign. Army armored vehicles arrived to Talaat Harb Square where the youth were protesting. Activists gathered out of cafes and arranged a march in the streets Downtown. Military police made a human barricade against their march. A group of military armored vehicles arrived, which carried many soldiers with shields. An hour later the electricity powers were cut off in Talaat Harb Square and Bourse Street. It was then the youth began retreating.
