Sources inside the democratic alliance revealed candidates from both Al-Wafd Party and the Muslim Brotherhood's (MB) Freedom and Justice Party dominate the preliminary list formed by the electoral coordination committee. The list includes 100 candidates for the next parliament elections and is supposed to be on the top of the electoral lists. The committee assured the standards set by the committee applied all the candidates in the list, since they have to be former members of the parliament or one of the prominent leaderships in their parties. The list included most of the MB's 88 former members of the parliament in the 2005 session, beside Al-Wafd Party members in the same session. The chairman of the electoral coordination committee, Waheed Abdel Majid, said the alliance will present a project to divide the electoral districts for Egypt's military ruling council. He also said 11 more political parties wanted to join the alliance but their demands are still be considered.
