Egyptian ambassador to Tel Aviv Yassir Reda today met with principal officials at the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a source inside the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported. Israeli officials expressed concern over the incidents at the Israeli embassy in Giza last Friday, sources said. Officials in the Israeli ministry asked for clarification on Egyptian statements regarding the 1979 Camp David Peace Accord. Egypt assured Israeli officials that it respects both the principals of international law and its international obligations, including the peace treaty with Israel and the Vienna Conventions, a source told Youm7. Israeli officials were anxious to get diplomats back to work in their Cairo embassy.
