GAZA: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President of the Palestinian National Authority Mahmoud Abbas may meet next week in New York, reported Yoaz Hendel, Netanyahu's media adviser. “The Prime Minister realizes that the United Nations isn't a forum for Israeli sympathizers, but he will speak to the General Assembly to present Israel's side of the story,” said Hendel. Netanyahu will potentially call on Palestinian President Abbas to open negotiations during his UN speech, sources reported. The Jerusalem Post reported that Abbas still hopes to receive international recognition of Palestinian Statehood. Mahmoud Abbas still hopes to receive an International admission with the Palestinian State, according to Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post.
