CAIRO: The Egyptian Museum opened today despite the planned million-man demonstration in Tahrir Square today, nicknamed the Friday of ‘No Emergency Law.' The museum, located at the edge of Tahrir Square, put a sign saying the Museum is open from morning until 2:00 p.m. amid the intensified presence of security forces at the Museum entrance. Tahrir Square, the epicenter of Egypt's January uprising, has remained a popular location for demonstrations over the past seven months.
