CAIRO: Egypt's ruling Supreme Council of Armed Forces (SCAF)'s decision to apply the Law of Emergency is a positive step to regain security and stability in Egypt. Tourism will consequentially reactivate gradually, said the head of Chamber of Tourist Facilities in Central and Northern Delta, Kamel Mansour. He said tourism depends basically on the security element, which is the main tourist attraction anywhere worldwide. Mansour expected tourist movement rates may increase during October and November, particularly after the launch of activities of International Tourism day in Aswan on September 27. “This festival will help activate tourism in Egypt,” Mansour said. Domestic tourism decreased because the new educational year is about to begin.
