Egypt's Maritime Safety authority released a report about the reasons of tugboat Gehad 4's sinking in Suez port a few days ago. The report blamed the Saudi ship Marmar Gaz for the tugboat's sinking. The report stated the Saudi ship's Russian captain drove the ship and the tugboat with him without coordination with the person at the back of the ship. This resulted in the sinking of Suez tugboat after being pulled by the Saudi ship. “We'll send our report to the Suez public prosecution”, said a source from Maritime Security authority. “None of the Saudi ship's crew moved to rescue the Suez locomotive's crew when it was sinking.” The Suez tugboat included five people; the Saudi Ship is still under custody at Suez port since the accident, which occurred 14 days ago. Sources added the Delta Insurance Company is supposed to receive Suez tugboat after paying 15 million EGP (U.S. $2.51 million), until the Saudi ship pays back the money.
