The Revolution Protection Committee today criticized those who seek to impede investment in the Sinai Peninsula. “The increasing action against the cement factory in Sinai and blackmailing administrators in the factory cannot be tolerated,” a statement from the Committee read. “Increasing instability in Sinai will lead to a decrease in investment in Sinai, which is contrary to the goals of the January 25 Revolution,” the statement added. The statement also demanded that Egyptian authorities take action to confront the state of instability in Sinai and pave the way for more job opportunities for youth. “It is important to protect investors and investment in Sinai,” the statement read. “This will open the door to serious development and will eradicate unemployment.”
