CAIRO: Egypt's ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF), amended the emergency law Sunday, adding more criminal offenses, among them publishing “false news” or “rumors.” In decision No. 193, the SCAF amended to certain provisions of 2010's presidential decree No. 126, which concerns the emergency law in Egypt. The law was amended to criminalize of thuggish acts, attacks on freedom of opportunity, sabotaging facilities, blocking traffic, road closures the road, and publishing or broadcasting false news and rumors. The emergency law criminalized causing internal tensions, participating in or funding terrorism, harming national security or public money, weapons possession, and the drug trade. Arabic here
