EU Official: Egypt will normalize situation

The European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton, announced that the EU trusts Egyptian authorities to carry out the necessary procedures to normalize the situation in Egypt after demonstrators stormed the Israeli Embassy.
Demonstrators tore down a wall surrounding the building that hosts the Israeli embassy in Giza Friday, then stormed embassy offices before Egyptian Armed Forces restored order.
Ashton described the incident at the embassy as an isolated event.
Egyptian authorities are committed to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, said Ashton.
Ashton also expressed her regret for those killed and injured at the embassy clashes.
