Egyptian investors made up 74.5 percent of transactions on the Egyptian Stock market this week. Non-Arab foreigners made up 19.21 percent of transactions, and Arabs made 6.29 percent of trades. Foreigners' transactions resulted in a net sale of 8.29 million EGP (U.S. $1.38 million) this week, while Arabs purchased a net of 93.15 million EGP (U.S. $15.57 million). Foreigners' total transactions amounted to 3.5 billion EGP (U.S. $586.3 million) since the beginning of this year. In the same period, Arabs purchased 98.6 million EGP (U.S. $16.5 million) worth of securities. Institutions made up 38.55 percent of total transactions on the exchange. The remainder of transactions, 61.45 percent, went to the share of individuals.
