CAIRO: Egyptian security forces today beefed up measures around the Israeli embassy in Giza fearing the “Hammer Marches,” as advertised on Facebook, that seek to destroy the barrier recently created to protect security forces and the embassy building itself. Seven armored vehicles were deployed to the area. Egyptian protestors took the opportunity to graffiti slogans and phrases on the barrier wall condemning the attacks on Egyptian security personnel on the Israeli—Egyptian border. Israeli forces killed five Egyptian security officers last month. “The People Want to Dismiss the Ambassador” and “Protect, Protect, the Jews Who Killed Our Sons,” were among the slogans emblazoned on the wall.
