Prominent Egyptian novelist Alaa al-Aswany traveled to Italy Thursday to promote the Italian translation of his latest book about the January 25 Revolution. His trip is expected to take a week. Aswany will visit Rome, Naples and other cities for book signings and seminars about the revolution. The book, published by Italian publisher "Feltrinelli, contains articles published in three of Aswany's books as well as opinion articles written after the January 25 revolution. The three books are "Do we Deserve Democracy,” "Why Don't the Egyptian Revolt?" and "Egypt on the Substitution Bench." It should be noted that Aswany was chosen by the British magazine "Times" as one of the best 50 novelists in the world. His novels were translated in different languages and he is the recipient of many cultural prizes.
