Cairo's Public Prosecutor, Abdel Magid Mahmoud, summoned the head and vice president of the ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) and a number of other high-level public figures, according to the Public Prosecutor's spokesman. Mahmoud fulfilled a court order to summon president of the SCAF, Field Marshall Hussein Tantawi, vice president of the SCAF, Sami Enan, former Vice President Omar Suleiman, former Interior Minister Mahmoud Wagdy, and current Interior Minister Mansour al-Issawy. The officials are to appear before the court in separate sessions beginning Sep. 11. The public prosecutor also sent a notification to Egypt's Minister of Information to ban publishing information on the sessions containing these official's testimony. The court ordered the public prosecutor to take the legal measures against any violations to protect Egypt's national security. The spokesman said that Egyptian newspapers have been informed of the ban
