It is calm in front of the police academy headquarters today where the fifth hearing of the trials of the former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, and two sons, Alaa and Gamal, the former Minister of Interior, Habib al-Adly, and six of his assistants began. They are being tried for the killing of demonstrators of the Egyptian January 25 Revolution and the wasting of public money. Unlike the other hearings, Mubarak supporters and martyrs' families are absent. Security forces are present at the scene to protect the place and prevent any recurrence of clashes between Mubarak supporters and martyrs' families.
