CAIRO: Egypt needs a strong president to facilitate a return to stability and to reestablish its international prestige, said the Head of the Talaat el-Sadat Party, adding that the candidate should be from the military council. The Party chief also told Youm7 that he will run as a candidate in the election for the attorneys syndicate and announced that his Party will run in the parliamentary elections. He told reporters at a press conference that his national party does not have remnants from the ousted regime and does not take funds from countries like Iran or the U.S. “Turkish Prime Minister Ragab Ardoghan should not be treated as a hero,” he added. "Although the Israeli ambassador was dismissed, the embassy is still working.” The Party chief also asked Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf to not meet with the Turkish President and instead wait for an invitation for a political meeting. A visit from a Turkish delegation should not be for any other purpose other than supporting a political party, particularly as the elections draw near, he added.
