Two Israeli Warships crossed the Suez Canal Monday on their way from the Red Sea port of Eilat to the port of Ashdod on the Mediterranean coast. A source at the Suez Canal Commission said that the two warships crossed under strict guard and were accompanied by two tugboats from the commission. The source added that the same two warships crossed the canal Aug. 15 for a mission in the Red Sea. The commission took several measures during the crossing such as restricting ferry traffic and closing the “al-Salam” and “al-Seed” bridges.
