CAIRO: The main Egyptian stock indexes today made gains in the first trading session after the Eid el-Fitr holiday. The principal stock index EGX 30 added 0.66 percent to end the middle session at 4,670.49 points. The EGX 70 rose 1.38 percent to 597.18 points while the EGX 100 increased 1.12 percent to 879.78 points. Major blue-chip stocks advanced today too, including Orascom for Construction and Industry, up 1.11 percent; Castle Financial Advisors, up 1.07 percent; Amer Group, up 3.85 percent; Ezz Steel, up 0.12 percent; Sinai Cement, up 1.14 percent; Talaat Mostafa, up 0.76 percent; and Holding Pioneers, up 0.42 percent.
