SHARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt: British pop star Peter Andre wowed an international crowd in Cairo's Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh on Friday night, proving that he still knows how to put on a good show after nearly two decades in the music business The 37-year-old singer's performance drew a diverse crowd of Brits, Egyptians, Eastern Europeans and others. Andre's wide appeal was clear as fans of all ages – from young girls to grey-haired men – cheered as Andre took to the stage in the Savoy Hotel's SOHO Square. Andre appeared in jeans, a black t-shirt, leather jacket and sunglasses (although he later shed the shades and jacket) and accompanied by two black-clad dancers. It was certainly a family affair, and Andre performed both old favorites and new hits, including “Unconditional,” a song he wrote for his stepson and recorded in 2009. The widely promoted concert is part of Savoy Chairman Emad Aziz's plan to increase the quality and quantity of entertainment at the Savoy. Aziz, who spoke to Youm7 on the sidelines of the event, said he is working to see Sharm el-Sheikh become “the new Ibiza.”
