Egyptian Minister of Culture, Emad Abu Ghazy, presented a project to Egyptian Prime Minister, Essam Sharaf. The project includes a comprehensive plan to develop culture in eastern and western Sinai. Abu Ghazy said this project is considered a part of an urgent comprehensive plan carried out in Sinai. The plan aims to achieve economic, agriculture, industrial, social, political and cultural development in Sinai. Every minister will present a plan respectively to develop Sinai and the Egyptian cabinet will discuss it. Abu Gazy is waiting for the Egyptian cabinet's approval for the project. Some parts of the project were carried out, such as developing traditional and environmental crafts. These crafts reserve Sinai heritage and are considered the main recourse for national income. Abu Gazy also carries out the development of cultural sites in Sinai, which includes 25 cultural sites, only 13 of which are working. The Egyptian Ministry of Culture will also organize cultural convoys and book fairs. One of dissolved National Democratic Party headquarters in Sinai will be turned into a national museum for Sinai's history. The ministry also will supply a general library in the governorate of Ismailia with the latest issues.
