ASWAN, Egypt: The Egyptian Youth Movement today announced the launching of a new hotline for complaints related to the tourism sector. The project is designed to improve tourism and both maintain and enhance national tourism as a significant driver of economic growth in Egypt. The project is being launch partially as a reaction to the incident yesterday when several tour buses were stopped and held in the midst of a demonstration among local residents, the Movement announced in a statement today. Tour buses carrying 360 tourists were stopped on the Edfu-Mara Alam Road connecting Aswan and Red Sea governorates because of protests. Tourists were stuck on buses for five hours. The Movement will transfer calls to officials in order to solve problems as soon as possible.
