There is a fear amongst Israeli officials and politicians that the Camp David treaty, which confirmed peace and a diplomatic relationship between Israel and Egypt, will be canceled, reported Israeli newspaper Haaretz. Canceling the Camp David treaty would spell war between the two nations, the paper claims. "It is a shock that the military council is ruling Egypt. Our support of the David Camp treaty is now threatened," said Israeli political analyst Tzipi Braúal. Israel should cancel its peace agreements with Egypt and Jordan and make preparations – even for war, Braual told Haaretz. "Many Egyptians welcome military council rule, headed by Hussein Tantawi, because they easily apply the people's will, which will represent danger for Israel," said Braúal. Braúal expressed his sorrow for the toppling of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. He claims that this is threatening Israeli strategic security. Mubarak maintained a calm relationship between Israel and Egypt for 30 years, he added.
