Supporters of former President Hosni Mubarak wished him a Happy Eid al-Fitr telegram, expressing their regret that he was not present at Eid Prayers broadcast on state television. The telegram also said Mubarak's supporters were fully confident he was innocent, and he maintained their continual support. Other supporters of the ousted president expressed their good wishes on their page on the social networking website Facebook. Page administrators posted details on how to send a telegram to the president. Telegrams much include the sender's name, date, their country, and must be in Arabic. On a related note, a number of supporters of the former President rejected the idea that they perform the Eid prayer with near the hospital caring for Mubarak, for fear it would threaten the security and safety of the former president.
