CAIRO: A man was arrested by the Ministry of Interior for sending death threats to Egyptian National Council spokesman Mamdouh Hamza. Security forces from the Ministry's Information and Registration Center arrested Said Sobhi Omran for threatening to kill Hamza and his daughter. Omran was apprehended after Hamza reported the threats to the police, who cooperated with mobile companies and connected personalities. He had threatened Hamza via mobile phones for the past three weeks, saying prominent Islamic figures ordered him to kill him for a large reward. Omran said he changed his mind after he determined his public stances.
