CAIRO: EgyptAir, Egypt's main air carrier, announced today that it will launch a new service allowing customers to purchase tickets through the EgyptAir call center. “We always aim to supply the newest resources to provide the latest international booking systems,” said Ayman Nasr, head of EgyptAir. The new system's trial run will begin September 2011 and end in October 2011. This new service allows customers to purchase tickets, change booking status or adjust flight destinations through the call center. EgyptAir announced that they will be looking into applying this service in Saudi Arabia, the UK, France and the U.S. EgyptAir provides assistance via mobile phones and its website, www.egyptair.com. Customers can use the EgyptAir website to purchase tickets, choose a travel class and seat, choose meals and print e-tickets. EgyptAir, with the cooperation of Star International Alliance, now provides a mobile application for mobile phones, which can be used to track flight status.
