The Wasat Party will be permitted by security services to hold sohour in Cairo's Matareya's square, according to the deputy president of the party, Essam Sultan. Previously Sultan told Youm7 that Brigadier General Rabea el-Sawy, of el-Matareya's security services denied the Wasat party's previous attempts to hold a sohour gathering in the square. According to Sultan, Rabea threatened party coordinator Amr Adel with arrests if a permit was not obtained. Before security permitted the protest, Sultan said that party members would protest unless the gathering was permitted. Arabic here
