Having a clear vision for the direction of the Egyptian market would help predict the quality of investors and the behavior of investment during the upcoming period, said a member of the Board of Directors of Osool for brokerage and securities, Ihab Saeed. It is unclear in light of the political uncertainty and economic conditions in Egypt during the current transitional period. Saeed said current data and any negative changes might influence investment trader decisions in the market. The quality of investors and their behavior will not change, he said, the foreign investor will continue to sell because of losses from dealing in the market as well as the state of inactivity that characterizes dealings during the Islamic month of Ramadan. He said hope lies within Arab investors, who headed investors since resuming the stock market after the Egyptian January 25 Revolution and purchase almost daily. As for governmental institutions, Saeed said institutions did not undergo any changes in behavior for the past three years, given the absence of a specific vision for them. He added the recovery of the market and the return of speculation of a small nature will change customers' behavior, who will be motivated to enter the market and increase purchasing behavior. These positive changes will provide liquidity in the market and increase trading volumes, pointing out recovery is not expected to occur until after the Eid al-Fitr, the celebration of the end of Ramadan.
