A statement by the Revolutionaries of Tahrir Media Center slammed the government's response to a border incident in which an Israeli Helicopter killed six Egyptian soldiers. The third statement of the Media Center disapproved the government's position, particularly the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs, which was described as disgraceful. The statement faulted the Ministry for not submitting any complaints against Israel to the Security Council, especially after a report from UN monitors said Israelis crossed into Egypt territory through Region “D,” a no-man's land between the Egyptian and Israeli borders. The statement demanded that the government expel the Israeli ambassador from Cairo and to cut political and economical relations between the two countries. The protestors also demanded the termination of natural gas exports to Israel, to apply all terms of United Nations Security Council Resolution 242, and to invalidate Camp David treaty, saying Israel violated its most important term, which is to end the state of war. The statement called on the ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces to form a committee to register those who wish to form national committees to secure Sinai and defend it with Sheikhs, tribal leaders, and border guards. The statement refused any Israeli participation in any investigations related to the borders' incidents, saying Israel will not admit any fault. It also underlined confidence in the Armed Forces, and that the people will always support the military.
