11 injured after Egypt train collision

QALYUBIA, Egypt: Eleven people were injured after two trains collided in Shibin el-Qanatir Station in the Nile Delta today because of a wrong transfer.
Director of Security Maj. Gen. Ahmed el-Naji received a notification of the incident from Brig. Ashraf Reyad.
Maj. Gen. Mohamed el-Koseery and Brig. Osama Ayesh arrived on the scene. Inspections showed that when the empty train 328 was about to stop and arrive at Shibin el-Qanatir station, train 427 coming from el-Marg collided with it from the back.
The accident caused the last car in the first train to smash and its wheels were derailed. There were 11 injured people who were: second train's superintendent Najiub Mohamed Abdel Hamid (43 years), driver's assistant of second train Ashraf Saeed Abdel Hafiz (30 Years), driver of first train Mohsen Hamed Mahmoud (50 years), Fatma Abdel Aziz (68 years), Mostafa Abdel Alem Mostafa (58 years), Ahmed Samy Mohamed (39 years), Ahmed Saber (24 years), Hadad Ali and Mohamed Ali (11 years), Inas Ibrahim (19 years), Hoda Reda (33 years) and Tamer Mahmoud (31 years).
