CAIRO: The Prayer of Fitr Feast may move forward in the iconic Tahrir Square, said Egyptian Minister of Religious Affairs Mohammed Abdel Fadil al-Qawsi. The Ministry, which is in charge of religious endowments, chose Revolution Imam Mazhar Shaheen to perform the prayer's sermon in the Square. The Ministry added that while it did not give official permission to hold the prayer in Tahrir, it is ready to give authorization for the prayer if a request is sent. A Facebook campaign started the initiative to hold the Fitr Feast in Tahrir Square. All revolutionaries and political powers are welcome to join, according to the campaign.
