AL MENIYA: Six people died and 21 were injured after a microbus overturned in the Western desert road in Al Minya. Director of Al Minya security, Maj. Gen. Mamdouh Meklad received a report of an accident when bus no. 40643 overturned in the Western desert road. The bus was coming from Asyut and heading to Samalot. The bus driver is Atef Samir Isaac, 35. The accident resulted in the death of 6 people, Fawaz Aziz Ads, 55; Ayda Thabet Fathallah, 33: Nasim Nasir, 49; Anwar Aziz Moawad, 50; Nagi Abdel Malak Moawad, 57, and an unknown girl estimated to be 10. Among the injured were Adel Fathy Shehata, 30; Madonna Farag Ibrahim, 14; Marina Atef Nakhla and Tony Abdel Mseeh Samuel, 6; Memi Farag Ibrahim, 28 years; Demyana Essa, 12 years; Nesma Farid Aziz, 11; Madonna Abdel Mseeh Gerges, 12 years; Naiem Nasim, 8; Nabila Malak, 45; Atef Samir Isaac (35 years), Lotfy Fayez, 37; Mosaad Nakhla Makar, 33; Atef Fawzy Shehata, 35; Simon Saad Nakhla, 11; Ibrahim Samuel, 9; Isis Samuel, 12; Nader Foad, 11; Rozka Atef Ghanim, 5 years, a microbus driver and two unknown persons. The injured were transferred to the hospital. The preliminary investigations indicated that the microbus carried 35 passengers and the high speed was the reason of the accident. The passengers were families traveling together.
