An increasing Israeli security presence closed the Israeli-Egyptian border Thursday, following three attacks that killed six and injured dozens in the southern Israeli city of Eilat. Israeli jets are searching the border area for the perpetrators of the Eilat attacks, which happened today at noon. Israeli TV's Channel Ten reported that the attacks killed six with dozens more injured. 23 of the injured have been transferred to Joseph Tal hospital with the other injured have been transferred to Soroka hospital. "Three separated attacks happened today at noon in South Israel. The first attack was against a public bus carrying civilians and Israeli soldiers, which was shot at with automatic weapons, a second attack was against a private car which also was shot at, and the third was carried out by unknowns with mortar or anti-tank missiles south of Eilat," said Israeli army spokesman Yoav Mordechai. Israeli army and police forces exchanged fire with perpetrators, killing three. Roads number 12 and 90, which lead to Eilat, have been closed by Israeli police who erected barriers at entrances to the city. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has met with Israeli Minister of Defense Ehud Barak and heads of military and security organizations to discuss the attacks. Netanyahu gave orders to increase police efforts to arrest those responsible. Palestinian sources announced that the perpetrators were wearing Israeli army uniforms, according to Israeli TV.
