The head of the Freedom and Justice Party, Dr. Mohamed Morsi, said a sub-committee was formed to draft a vision and mechanism for the electoral coalition, stressing the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) doesn't aim to dominate the Parliament. Morsi added the MB will run for only 50 percent of parliamentary seats during the next elections, clarifying the MB aims to gain only 33 percent of parliamentary seats. He added his party is committed to executing decisions of the MB's Shura Council about the elections. Morsi said there is coordination between the Freedom and Justice Party and the MB, the main supporter of the party, clarifying the MB established the group to exercise political activity and to compete to take over authority. Morsi expressed his party's commitment to the constitutional announcement since he believes it can rule Egypt during its current transitional stage. He added Egypt's ruling military council has legitimacy to practice the role of both executive and legislative authorities. Morsi said there is no difference between the Freedom and Justice Party and other parties, the Copts, Al-Azhar, the Cabinet, or the military council about the documents offered about constitutional principles. He said Egypt doesn't need above-constitutional principles or a new constitutional announcement, stressing the institutional committee should represent the entire society. Morsi made this statement during an interview with ‘At Cairo's Timing' TV program.
