Families of the January 25 martyrs continued their protest today outside the police academy where former President Hosni Mubarak, his former Interior Minister Habib al-Adly and six security chiefs are facing the third session of a trial where they are charged with killing protestors during the popular uprising last winter. Youm7 met with a number of such families. Mohamed Soliman Tawfik, a father of a martyr, reported that his son was killed on January 28, known as the Friday of Anger, in front of al-Marg police station after marching from Tahrir. Neighbors told him that his son was transferred to a hospital after suffering three gunshot wounds, Tawfik reported. When he reached the hospital, his son had succumbed to his injuries. Hassan Mohamed Abdel-Fatah, another father of a martyr, said his nine-year-old son was with him working in Nasr City on January 29. Upon receiving a phone call from his wife about a siege in Nasr City, Abdel-Fatah and his son rushed home to 6th of October City, a Cairo suburb. En route, police forces attacked the car and killed his son. Mohamed Fawzy Ashour, another father, claims his son died on January 29 in Tanta after suffering four gunshot wounds. Ashour demands fair justice for those involved in the killing of protestors during the revolution.
