A video spread via YouTube shows the savagery of the supporters of Syrian President Bassar al-Assad as they throw the bodies of dead protesters from a bridge into the river below. The people were killed during the Syrian army's invasion of Hama two days ago. The video shows how the bodies were piled haphazardly into a car, then drug from the car and thrown from the bridge one after the other. Those dumping the bodies are cheering. The death toll from the Syrian regime's brutal campaign against dissent has risen to 150 according to witnesses. Witnesses said the tanks shelled neighborhoods in Hama right after Maghreb prayers on the first day of Ramadan. Hama witnessed an earlier message in 1982, when the late Syrian president Hafiz al-Assad waged a violent military attack on an Islamic rebellion there. Human rights activists said the attacks waged by Assad's troops yesterday led to the death of 24 people, ten of whom were from Hama.
