CAIRO: Information and Decision Support Center said the Egyptian consumers' confidence in Egypt's economic performance has been pessimistic. The income level of the Egyptian families reduced in July by 21.7 percent since June. The report highlighted the public's confidence in economic policies deteriorated and reduced by 6.7 percent if compared to June. The deterioration is attributed to the high percentage of people who believe Egypt's economic state in the current year is worse than it was in 2010. The report said 65.1 percent of customers believe the Egyptian economy deteriorated during July due to the notable increase in prices, increasing demonstrations, spread of chaos, thugs and insecurity and the rates of unemployment. The index of improving the living and economic standards recorded a notable decline by 4.3 percent compared to 2010. The report highlighted the decline of percentage of those who expect improvement of their financial state in July. The report also underlined a decline in the people's expectations for the improvement of Egypt's economic state in July.
