CAIRO: The head of Egypt's ruling military council will be called to testify at the trial of deposed Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, which begins on Wednesday. Mubarak's sons, Alaa and Gamal; fugitive Egyptian businessman Hussein Salem; former Minister of Interior Habib al-Adly; and six of al-Aldy's assistants face charges of murdering demonstrators during Egypt's January 25 Revolution. The lawyers said Hussein Tantawi's testimony will reveal all incidents that took place behind closed doors during the January 25 Revolution. They will submit to the court all documents of dissolved States Security Investigation about the revolution during this period. Lawyers noted they will submit a petition to cancel court verdict of merging trials of Mubarak and al-Adly. In addition, they reject the idea of daily trial. Moreover, the former Egyptian Vice-President, Omar Suleiman, will be summoned to give his testimony before the trial held tomorrow at the Police Academy. In related news, the International Sharm el-Sheikh airport' airfield was prepared to transfer Mubarak to Cairo for tomorrow's trial.
