CAIRO: The trial for former president Hosni Mubarak will be broadcasted daily till a sentence is passed. No cameras or cell phones will be allowed in except for cameras belonging to Egyptian television, which will broadcast the trial, said Judge Ahmed Rifaat. Rifaat is the president of North Cairo's Criminal Court, the place where Mubarak will be trialed. Those who will be allowed to attend the trial will be limited to lawyers, journalists, and the accused family. The maximum number of people allowed to attend the trial is 600 people, said Rifaat during a press conference. "Given that we believe that Egyptians have the right to attend this trial, we decided to have this trial in the lecture hall at the Police Academy, and we recommended that it gets broadcasted on Egyptian television," said Rifaat.
