The latest shapes of Ramadan lanterns after the January 25 Revolution include an army tank-shaped lantern, which emits traditional songs of Ramadan, such as "Generous Ramadan is coming, welcome back Ramadan." The shape of the tank has a motif of an Egyptian army soldier sitting on the tank. "The lanterns this year are little different from the last year's, because there are new shapes for lanterns, the most popular one is the tan-shaped lantern" said lanterns salesman at Sayeda Zenab, Ahmed Ramadan. He stressed there was a huge purchase of new lanterns, especially the children who were watching tanks in the streets and in Tahrir Square during the January 25 Revolution and taking photographs with the tanks. Many children asked their parents to buy the tank-shaped lanterns for them. Ahmed assured Ramadan this year has a different taste and various features in comparison with the last year with the change of the Egyptian January 25 Revolution. He emphasized traders imported new lanterns shapes, which reflect the sould of the revolution, produced in China. "I wish we can manufacture the Ramadan lanterns through 100 percent Egyptian industry instead of importing them from China," Ahmed said.
