The Foreign Cultural Relations sector will represent Egypt at the International Festival of Carthage, which will be held in Tunisia from July 24 to 31. Iskendrela will represent Egypt in the festival. Hossam Nasar, an official in the Ministry of Culture, said the festival aims at protecting heritage. The ministry chose Iskendrela to participate in the festival as it presents songs and music from Egypt's heritage, such as Sayed Darwish and Fouad Hadad. Nasar said Iskendrela focuses on Egypt's revolution as well as its heritage through words and melody.
