CAIRO: A new gallery titled, “The Revolution's Art,” a project launched in cooperation with the Fine Artists Syndicate, was announced today by the Cultural Relations sector of Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The gallery will showcase January 25 Revolution artwork, said Abou al-Maaty, the chairman of the Fine Artists Syndicate. Different artistic mediums will be on exhibition, including photography, sculpture, graphic art, painting, and ceramics, he added. The gallery will be held either in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maaty said, or the Egyptian Diplomatic Club, and it's scheduled to open at the end of July. The gallery's purpose is to show foreign ambassadors the Revolution's influence on Egypt's artists. The Syndicate's Facebook page announced that artists must submit their work, and selected materials for the gallery will be chosen based on artistic merit.
