CAIRO: Egypt's stock market indexes continued rising during the mid-session today with the support of Egyptian and Arab investors. The benchmark EGX30 index rose 17 percent by mid session dealings. The index of medium and small companies, Egy X70, increased by 3.4 percent and the index Egy X100 SPX raised by 2.6 percent. Dealings reached a volume of 314.4 million EGP (U.S. $53.3 million). Agawa Industries shares increased 7.2 percent; Pioneers increased 6.7 percent; General Upper for contracts increased 5 percent; Orascom for constructions share rose 3.3 percent; Ezz Steel rose 3.06 percent; Palm Hills increased 3.1 percent; Egypt for Resorts increased 2.5 percent; Orascom Telecom rose 1.01 percent; and Castle rose 0.94 percent.
