The Israeli radio quoted Avi Mizrahi as saying such assaults are Jewish terrorism, but he said there is no secret Jewish organization in the West Bank. Mizrahi ruled out that the area will witness an armed uprising in September. He said the Palestinian Authority is not interested in escalating the situation. He expects riots to take place and confirmed the army's readiness for all scenarios including an armed uprising. Yediot Ahronot Yediot Ahronot highlighted the resignation of Egypt's Foreign Minister, Mohamed al-Orabi, adding that the Egyptian minister took the position less than a month ago. The newspaper said Orabi's resignation was a result of the continued demonstrations in Tahrir Square protesting against the performance of Prime Minister Essam Sharaf's government. The demonstrators demand the government take serious steps toward democracy and prosecute the figures of the former regime. The newspaper said Orabi's resignation came as a part of the campaign that aims to dismissing those people who held high positions under the former regime, clarifying that Orabi served as Egypt's ambassador to Germany during Mubarak's presidency. Marriv Marriv expected that there will be a difference between the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu and his Foreign Minister, Avigdor Liberaman, after Netanyahu's refusal to the draft law offered by Liberaman to monitor the financial sources of leftist organizations in Israel. The newspaper said Netanyahu announced, during the Jewish Communities Conference, that he will not vote for the proposed law. He said such a law shouldn't be discussed in the Israeli Kenesset as Israel is not a police state. The Hebrew newspaper said Liberaman hoped Netanyahu and his Likud Party would accept his law, especially because Likud has the majority of the Israeli Kenesset. It added that Liberaman threatened to withdraw from the government if Netanyahu refused to vote for his law. Yisrael Beitenu Party proposed a draft law to recommend opening investigations with leftist organizations to learn their financial sources, clarifying that the Kenesset will vote on the draft law this week. Haartez Haartez reported that Turkish Prime Minister Ragab Tayeb Erdogan intends to visit the Gaza Strip within the next two weeks to meet with officials from Hamas. The newspaper clarified that Erdogan demanded that Egyptian authorities to allow him to visit the Gaza Strip during his visit to Egypt but that Egypt has not responded to the demand of the Turkish official yet. The newspaper warned that the visit will increase tensions between Ankara and Tel-Aviv. In the same context, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmed Dawood Oghlu demanded Israel use the current positive atmosphere to improve relations between the two countries.
