Abdul-Moneim Alshahat, the Salafi spokesman in Alexandria, said he refused Naguib Sawiris' apology about the caricature drawings he posted on his Twitter account that some claim undermine Islam. Alshahat said Sawiris must go to every Muslim house and apologize. He added that Sawiris' apology came very late and that it came after many Muslims boycotted his company Mobinil. Sawiris apologized previously on air. However, Dr. Abdul-Moneim refused his apology and said that he apologized only because of the economic consequences of his action.
