CAIRO: Egypt's Minister of Finance announced the start of applying incentive reward programs for governmental administrative employees to increase by 200 percent. This program aims to reform the wage system in Egypt. Around 9 million EGP has been placed in the state's new budget. The Ministry said the maximum wage is 25, 200 EGP, which is 36 times the minimum wage. This program is a radical reform process and could last for five years. According to the table of wages, the current minimum wage is 702 EGP comparing to the previous value which was 444 EGP, and thus showing an increase by 59 percent. As for new administrative employees, their minimum wage will be 684 EGP comparing to 422.4 EGP, and thus showing an increase of 62 percent.
