SOUTH SINAI, Egypt: Former president Hosni Mubarak's condition is stable without any sort of deterioration or improvement. His heart is pulsing well, according to medical and secure sources. Sources denied reports claiming Mubarak passed away. Head of South Sinai police directorate, Mohammad el-Khatib, said to Youm7 Mubarak is still alive in Sharm el-Sheikh International Hospital. El-Khatib described the news of his death as “baseless.” Medical sources added Mubarak was not subject to mechanical ventilation and his heart did not stop for two minutes as rumors claimed. However, sources noted the former president felt a hunger for air and this is a normal case since he is an elderly man. He was rehabilitated by oxygen and not subject to mechanical ventilation. Mubarak suffers from aging, psychological desperation and instability in blood pressure but he is not in a severe condition. In other news, security forces intensified their presence around Sharm el-Sheikh hospital to be on alert for any potential surprise demonstration. Any protest will negatively affect the tourism movement.
